Content Analysis
Â
1. Which page did you analyze?
We analyzed the “For Families” page on the Highlander Charter School website.
2. Who are the members of your group?
Group Members: Jess (me), Mikayla, Allison, Alex, Jacob
3. Who is the apparent target audience for your site? Who was it written for? Who should it be written for?
The page was written for families. It includes links to their newsletters, ways to track their students’ progress, and ways to contact their teachers. The page is written for the correct target audience and includes everything their target audience would be looking for.
4. Is the amount of text appropriate? Could it be said more concisely? Would it benefit from additional text?Â
The amount of text on the page is adequate. All the information is relayed concisely with links attached for the information they are sharing. The only thing I would change would be the graduation requirements section. The information included is brief, but the way it looks on the page is not the most easy to read.
6. Identify an image that would enhance the text message.
The image on the right was generated from Google Gemini AI which I think would enhance the family page more.
5. Show how you would rewrite the text.
